ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN PORTS WITH A GREEN PORT PERSPECTIVE: A CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

Ports can be defined as the main centers of maritime transportation and trade, which provide continuity international trade well loading unloading services to ships. As a result globalizing world, importance ports has continued increase day by because made faster more efficiently. The fact that are located at such critical point, increasing transaction volume, development environmentally sensitive systems bring along an inevitable process change. At this with awareness, concept green port been developed. Green is approach aims minimize adverse effects on environment ecosystem. While continue their activities achieve goal, it use energy resources efficiently effectively while meeting needs having most negligible impact equipment maintains operations, equipment, ships berthing in energy-consuming elements. This study analyze efficiency from perspective using literature review method. In context, practices two leading Europe were examined. qualitative analysis, determined studies for have reached compatible principles exhibited.
